As the saying goes, music is the language of feeling and of passion, so has a budding sensation is using them to spread the gospel.
21 year-old Phidlorah Malesh Mkala has been at the fore in using her talent much to credence and the guidance of her spiritual leaders who have taken to show the ‘right way of light’ as she says.
“My two pastors, Reverend John Musyoki and Pastor Richard Aduori, have been showing me what is right. It has not been easy but they have been mentoring me on Christian grown and spiritual maturity,’ says Malesh.
She fellowships at PEFA Soweto parish, Nairobi.
The young lady says she believes in excellence and one who has what passion in God work.
Hailing from Wundanyi, Taita Taveta county, Malesh is a graduate from Thika school of medical and health science as a lab technician.
According to her, the musical journey began in her tender age of 6 years-old, something that pushed her to being the Christian Union chairlady while in campus.
She recalls while in highschool of how she used to perform in wedding and open air church events.
Malesh recalls the she used to sacrifice nurturing her skills from 6:00 PM till late in the night with a friend of hers, Dennis, as the keyboardist.
However all has not been rosy, as she says having graduated in November 2021.
“I decided to settle in Nairobi to look for a job.Life in Nairobi has not been easy for me but I thank God because He is faithful and He says we should be thankful in every situations,’ says the songstress.
The youngster says the desire of her ministry is to win souls for the LORD through music receiving inspiration from the late Angela Chibalonza, hope to reach many world over.
Hoping for financial support, she says to have released the songs as audios but believes video versions are on the way.
She hopes in the next five years to become an international gospel musician who brings impact to many.
